Nutrition Support

Nutrition Support

About This Project

India's child malnutrition rates remain alarmingly high, with some of the most severe figures globally. According to the Global Hunger Index (2023), which assesses factors such as overall undernourishment, child stunting (low height for age), wasting (low weight for height), and child mortality, India is ranked 111th out of 125 countries. This ranking underscores the critical nature of the malnutrition crisis affecting millions of children across the country.

In response to this pressing issue, Hope for Today is actively involved in combating child malnutrition. The organization addresses this challenge by operating three dedicated Soya Milk Centres. Each centre provides a glass of nutritious soya milk to approximately 650-700 malnourished children. This initiative not only helps in alleviating immediate hunger but also contributes essential proteins and vitamins that are crucial for healthy growth and development. Additionally, nutrient sachets for HIV patients are also distributed.
